I found this movie below average, with mediocre acting and poor music. Cher I sometimes find annoying and dont understand why this movie got much more due than Mask. Nicolas Cage is more suited for action movies i think.

Although I didn't appreciate this film as much as some people do, I recognize it as a really great film, and the best Cher performance. Funny, lighthearted, and romantic, it gained a well-deserved spot on the AFI's Funniest 100 Movies list. Loretta (Cher) accepts a proposal of marriage from Johnny (Danny Aiello), but while he is in Sicily, she and his brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage) fall in love. She must examine both relationships and the possibility of being in love with her future brother-in-law. Great performances all around, especially from Olympia Dukakis as Loretta's elderly mother. See this.
