Lighthearted film that features Heath Ledger that falls into the "amusing" but had too many plot conveniences to make it truly enjoyable. The film was amusing but didn't have much complexity or layers for me to deem it a worthy of a coveted place in my DVD collection.
Features a first rate cast but sub-par material that could have been better.
On the other hand has some great shots of Venice which to my girlfriend is the ultimate romantic destination. I've mentioned that my mind is still open to this concept, but the two times I've been there the strongest memory I have are the bloodthirsty mosquitoes that tainted my perception of this unique city.
Perhaps I was just lacking proper company. :)
