Pleasant comedy with Jack Lemmon as a lecherous landlord of a plush little apartment complex. He rents a room to Carol Lynley thinking her mentioned roommate is another lady (because he only rents to women), leading to wacky misunderstandings since it's actually fiance Dean Jones. So Jack Lemmon spends the whole movie trying to seduce Lynley and get Jones out of the picture, but neither is as gullible as he figures. Imogene Coca and Paul Lynde are caretakers/friends of Lemmon, and pretty annoying, as expected. The movie is very light, just a bunch of sitcom-y sexcapades. They could've called it "Three's Company", but with two guys instead of two girls. Maybe that show's creators were inspired by this movie. The three leads are appealing, and the movie's fun if you're in the mood for easygoing goofiness, even if the scripted antics tend to drag on too long.
