"Wild Man Blues" is an entertaining documentary about Woody Allen's jazz band's European tour. The movie frequently reminded me of "This Is Spinal Tap", but being as this is a real music documentary, I would guess that the parody would be similar (even though they are about completely different people, events, and music genres). Woody Allen's humor, even when not scripted, is very funny. I have been a fan of Allen's style of jazz (New Orleans style jazz, i think), and as thus, I was not annoyed by the lenthy jazz performances. As a side note, the relationship between Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, controversial as it is, seems to be a very happy and stable relationship. "Wild Man Blues" is a very entertaining and interesting look at the man behind the glasses.

A priceless gem for all Woody Allen fans. It's hard to say anything objective about it, I simply enjoyed the film tremendously, mainly due to Woody's persona, the great music and Kopple's flawless documenting.

Very enjoyable view of Woody Allen's European tour with his jazz band. It gives an insiders look at Woody..neurosis, colds, even parents jibes at his celebrity. And the music is great. Woody is as much a talented musician as he is a comic, director, acto and writer.
