The movie largely consists of a police interrogation (ala A Pure Formality): a man (Hugo Weaving) is violently abducted from his apartment by the police and questioned for a crime which he protests he knows nothing about. Ambiguity creeps in, and by the end of the film you're not sure what to believe, except that in Australia apparently the police are fairly hamstrung in their interrogation efforts (as least, as compared to the U.S.)
