Blue Collar for the 21st century, only not as pessimistic and with more depth. The depth comes in the addition of a familial side to the struggle between union and management. This is an unsentimental, realistic film that is nevertheless quite emotionally effecting. It's helped by outstanding acting (I was surprised to learn that only the lead was a professional actor --the man who plays his father is superb).
