Pretty much on par for what you expect from a bond film.

Miranda Frost (Rosemund Pike) and Halle Berry made quite the Bond babe duo - but as usual with Bond films their acting seemed a bit forced.

Also since it had a North Korean subplot I think the producers lost a real opportunity to put some hot scantily clad Korean women into the movie. What a shame.

The only Bond film I have ever enjoyed, and by a very wide margin, too. The exotic and ever-changing locales, the ridiculous action sequences, the nefarious villains, and the hot Bond girls all worked for me this time. And probably for the last time. The few drawbacks - annoying puns (seriously, they suck), predictable plot twists (no matter how hard they try to fool us - and they cheat on about 5 different levels throughout this movie - it's become law that one Bond girl must be evil), the shamelessly gratuitous waste of weapons (the bad guy has a car that goes through about 11 different compartments of missiles and machine guns, and not only that, but he never hurts a single person in the process), and plot holes so big that even a guy like me who never sees plot holes in anything is taking offense (a hole rips into a jet and several people are sucked out, and there's a whole tense scene where Bond and villain #2 try to hold on for their lives, and then minutes later they're both standing right in front of the gaping hole punching each other, as though the suction had just gone away) - were forgivable thanks to the truly beautiful sets (the final locale of the movie, a tiny cottage on a cliffside in some South American jungle at dusk, just blew me away), the surprisingly engaging story (yeah, a lot of it doesn't make sense, but it never insults your intelligence), the lovely femme fatales (Rosamund Pike had an alluringly offbeat prettiness and Halle Berry has a fantastic body), and the stylish, inventive, and visually scrumptious showdowns (despite how fake his superimposed body looked, I really love when Bond went surfing on that giant tidal wave caused by the avalanche). My take on Bond is that they're all tedious, repetitive, and feel archaic, as though they're released 5 years too late every time. But this one got everything right, and it was marvelous

Oh, except for Madonna. I never usually like the theme songs anyway (Paul McCartney's is the only decent one that springs to mind), but what she came up with was just another unbearable cog in her recent obsession with shitty techno "experimentation". It sucked many, if not all, kinds of ass

A definite improvement to recent Bond flicks. I'd say that Pierce Brosnan's Bond has finally arrived. He now embodies the character. Halle Berry was more than adequate as the newest "Bond Girl." Some mind-boggling action sequences and the requisite cheesy dialogue, all that you need in a Bond film.

Average Bond flick. Halle Berry not convincing at all. The invisible car is pretty lame.. even with an excuse as to the scientific aspect of it. The ice fortress on the other hand.. is hella cool. I loved it.

For the first twenty minutes or so this is the best Bond movie since Diamonds Are Forever. Unfortunately, at about that time Halle Berry shows up and, well, you can bet it's all downhill from there.
