Yeah, there's definitely something amiss here. It has a noble heart and seemingly lavish presentation (unless you pay close attention) but the oddities begin right away, when you notice how miscast the actors all look, and how stiff their acting is. While it's nice that this is the happiest movie version of the King Arthur legend (the dour tragic ending is given a big optimistic upswing), the movie itself isn't much

The silliest adaptation of the story I've seen. Awful acting, corny dialogue, 2nd-rate sets (I got a good laugh out of a tree that "pops up" after it had been cut down by Lancelot's sword) and bland direction make this one forgettable. Nearly every actor looks uncomfortable and awkward.
