Mostly well made Cronenerg shocker (his 2nd film) about a disease spread by a bloody penis hidden in Marilyn Chambers' armpit...yep, pretty weirdly chosen details, but it's Cronenberg, after all. Film rambles a bit in the middle, and the soundtrack is too deafening during each of the increasingly less surprising attack scenes, but it has some effective sequences and an aptly fatalistic finish.
