A little bit of a lesser known John Grisham book to movie adaption. It has all the star power that is needed in Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington, but the movie feels a little slow and confusing at times, and it just doesn't measure up to a few of the other films taken from Grisham based on the legal profession.

Ironically enough, this technically proficient but sludgy and baffling legal thriller is anything but brief. Avoid in favor of "The Client," but, on the upside, it's probably a better bet than, say, "The Chamber."

Not as good as some other movies derived from John Grisham novels, like The Client and A Time to Kill.
