Nice little Italian film about an aging widower from Sicily. His five children all live in different parts of Italy, and so content where he is, he spends his time in Sicily, accepting the children's own glowing reports of how they're all doing. Finally, though, he has a change of heart and decides to visit each one of them, where he finds out that the actual situations are not really that "glowing," but that the children were telling fibs to prevent disappointing their father, especially about one of their siblings who has long since committed suicide. The disappointment (and the father's own lack of absolute truthfulness proves too much for him to bear, and he suffers a heart attack. Sad and funny simultaneously, it's one of the better foreign films I've seen. Worth a look.
