Russkies is apparently somewhat of an attempt to milk some goodwill toward Russians during the cold war. After an accident during a mission, a Russian sailor lands on the beaches of Florida and hides out for a while. Three young American men find him, they grow to be friends, and the boys try to help him get home. Aww, the little Russkie is so cute! And he talks so funny. As Alfred E. Newman used to say, "Blecchh."
