I meant to input the original with Barbara Stanwyck. I haven't seen this one (although I used to want to, for its Arnold-as-director novelty value, of which I'm sure there is very little, now that I'm no longer 12). Anyway, oops. I'll do it right now

During the holidays, just about any movie with any recognizable actor or actress, with any shred of a fun little story can make my viewing list. However, this "tolerance" only applies for the short holiday season. Such was the occasion that I watched Christmas in Connecticut. Directed by Arnold Schwartzenegger (really?), it's a remake about a TV-show homemaker (Dyan Cannon) who invites a local hero (Kris Kristofferson) over for an on-the-air Christmas dinner. Her TV show, along with everything else about her home and family, is completely fictional, including her ability to cook. Kristofferson, assuming that everything is as it appears, doesn't quite fit in with the situation. The "cast" of the TV Dinner gradually tire of the roles that they play, and the whole TV special comes crashing down. What will happen next? Tune in, but only around the holidays (lest you have severe indigestion).
