Strange and often wonderful. Silly, yes, but fun all the same. It's like the spiritual precursor to "The Girl Next Door". It's also the first film that made me concede that Josh Hartnett could be a viable leading man. Suprisingly, most of his films that have followed- "Hollywood Homicide" notwithstanding because i'm still trying to block it from memory- have held up this thought.

a wonderful date movie, if your date can handle all of the incredibly suggestive humor. mine could and we had a great time talking about it afterwards. and naturally, its a great lead in to your own possible fun!

Let us admit that the story is ridiculous, exaggerated, implausible. Let us admit that no city and no company could be so chock full of beautiful women. Having said that, there is some good material here, particularly the satire on the ubiquity of the internet (an ad for one dotcom or another is in virtually every scene), and some of the stranger fantasies and scenarios that crop up over the course of the film.

Shanynn Sossamon and Josh Hartnett, both with the apathetic attitudes and subdued cool, are a perfect match, and as Hartnett's best friend, Paulo Costanzo makes for yet another funny sidekick, but in the long run, the movie's reliance on slapstick and farce seem misguided, like it's not sure of itself
