Well, when the number three player in digital animation can make a film that looks this good, I venture to say that hand drawn animation is going to go the way of the silent movie and black and white film. Not a terribly original script, but well voiced and a joy to look at. Kids and adults will enjoy this film, and with sequences like the Dodo birds and the ice cave rollercoaster, it keeps you laughing and marveling at how good it looks. I suspect it will be about 3-5 years until they have humans animated in such a way that we will demand digital animation over the old traditional way. And why not? Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., Antz and Shrek, and now Ice Age have set the bar up to beautiful new levels.

The first time I saw it in theaters, I was a little dissapointed because I expected something funnier. I guess I was in a bad mood that day because I saw it on DVD a little bit ago and thought it was hilarious!! Definetely not as good as Shrek, but as good as Monster's Inc. Very funny and entertaining. You should go see it!

I first saw it and thought that it was pretty funny but not tat funny. But, I saw it again and I laughed out loud ona bunch of jokes. It had some very clever jokes in it. I didn't like how the plot was with humans, though. It would've been better if it was just animals. Favorite character: Sid. Ilove his voice! I thought Manny (Ray Ramona) was funny, too. I forget what the tiger's name was, but he wasn't that funny. Great movie, though. Two Thumbs Up!

Hugely successful animated film from the mediocre Blue Sky Studios plays like a feature-length family sitcom. Okay to park your kids in front of on a rainy day, but soul-deadening in most other respects.

A lot of fun. When I saw this, it seemed like the parents were having as much fun as the kids. It's the digitally animated story of the great migration south at the onset of a prehistoric ice age. A sloth (John Leguizamo) gets left behind because he overslept, a mammoth (Ray Romano) tries to get left behind, and a saber-tooth (Denis Leary) is on the prowl. When a human baby gets thrown in the mix, the three unlikely companions grow a friendship and struggle to return the baby to the human colony. Fun action, funny situations, and actually pretty heartwarming. Worth a look.
