It's endearing, alright? It's not the end-all comedy that the press seemed to think it was at the time, but this is a funny, smart and entertaining film. I'm sure that Sheffield isn't that damn poor and that this paints a negative light of Britishers and stuff, but I enjoyed it. The film has a certain gritty charm and an endearing cast. It's not gonna change my life or anything. It entertained me for a couple of hours, that's the most I can say.

Hugely funny movie with a heart. And that scene in the Post Office while they are waiting in line dancing to the piped in music, brings tears to my eyes every time I see it (tears of laughter, of course).

The Full Monty is a solid entry in my TOP 10 Worst Movies ever made! Can you tell me what is so funny about a group of British losers who want to strip? What a knee slapper!

Light-hearted, funny little picture about a small group of laborers in Sheffield, England, who find themselves out of work. The job market is tight, and they perform poorly in job placement tests and interviews, so they prepare to perform one night at a local dance club, with their main attraction point being that they will reveal "The Full Monty" (hence the title). Now I realize that The Full Monty is a British film, and I realize that they like to say a certain word that begins with F, and I realize that it's a film about male strippers, but it easily could have had a PG-13 (or even PG) rating without the language. All in all, I had quite a few really good laughs. Worth a look.
