Long but interesting story of the Last Emperor (hence the title) of the Chinese Ching dynasty, and his life in and out of the Forbidden City. The story covers his life from his childhood, through the Communist overtaking of China, to his death in 1967. Epic, profound, beautiful. The music was arranged by David Byrne of Talking Heads fame. Worth a look.
