I walked out of this one with hardly a thought. It was a movie with great potential but very slow at times. The subject matter seemed very interesting but the movie really didn't take a stand. Wait for video.

Interesting but dreadfully slow story about life in Washington state during World War Two. It recounts the sad episode in American History when a large part of the Japanese population of the United States was rounded up and put in concentration camps. Specifically to this film, its the story of the relationship between a Japanese girl and an American boy, and the strain that these events puts on their relationship. This film was of particular interest to me, since one of these concentration camps (Topaz) was located not too far from where I live. I'd recommend seeing this once, but there's not enough here to see it twice. Unfortunately, not as good as I had expected or hoped.
