Pretty funny movie for the most part, mostly due to the performances of Seann William Scott and Tom Green, but I saw a movie a few years before (Overnight Delivery - 1998) starring Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd with an extremely similar plot.
Rudd played a college boy who becomes convinced his girlfriend, who goes to school several states away, is cheating on him. He meets gothy Reese, who gets Rudd to make a video depicting the two of them sleeping together, and then send the video to his girlfriend, who turns out to not be cheating on him. So what happens next? ROAD TRIP!!!

most of the scenes involving tom green prove to be fairly quirky and entertaining .. unfortuantely, when everyone decides to go on the titled inspired road trip, tom green chooses to stay at the college campus--so he can feed mike, a certain python he has an unhealthy obsession with. this also means that scenes with tom green become seldom and far between.
the rest of the film just kind of felt like re-hashed "animal house". a little funny, but wholly unsatisfying ..

Year 2000's version of American Pie does not measure up to that film. While not a bad movie, Road Trip offers a laugh here and there and plenty of T&A but not much else. Slighly better then average teenie bopper flick.

Verry funny movie from start to end. I realize that American Pie got alot more hype, but give this movie its due. Great performance but Tom Green who isnt one of my favorites. Also Amy Smart is an up and comming actress to be sure. There are some scenes here that made me howl for sure.

Frigging hilarious! I laughed until my face hurt and I almost wet myself. =) How many other movies have a talking dog and kids that jump a FORD taruas over a bridge?
If you like juvenile humor, You will dig on this one.
