LOL @ fumanchu
I think I'd have given this a much lower rating had it not been for the always beautiful Selma Hayek and the scenes from my favorite city....VEGAS.
As for a plot, there wasn't one. Matthew Perry and Selma Hayek come from dfferent ethnic backgrounds and want to get married. Every possible ethnic cliche is used at least 10 times in the movie. YADDA YADDA YADDA....Been there done that a thousand times.

Salma Hayak and Matthew Perry have a one night stand. She gets pregnant and lets him know. But it's not that simple. She is Mexican and highly entrenched in the Mexican culture. He is an upwardly mobile American. Really getting together takes a lot of negotiation and understanding. Neither one has it. This was supposed to be a comedy. But I found it quite slow moving. The characters were irritating and the chemistry was poor. Salma Hayak is very beautiful and Matthew Perry has sex appeal. But together the chemistry doesn't work. What was interesting to me was the culture clash and the reactions of the two families to this partnership.
