Poor Anne Heche. Reduced to playing a Tourrets chick on Ally McBeal (a quirky character on that show? No way...) and "true story" heroes in cable movies. For a few years in the late '90s, she made a saucy love interest. Very pretty, too. That's the only reason I'd ever watch this movie a 2nd time. Tommy Lee Jones is the same, Don Cheadle is on autopilot, and there's a really annoying side story about a black guy who refuses to help because of some racism issues but then it's actually the white cops who are the bad guys, but then it's both their faults and then neither. Don't preach. Just show us the unexciting footage of molten lava traveling very slowly towards its victims. Seriously, is there any natural threat that looks easier to escape from than the lava in this movie?

An unbelievable dunce of a movie, "Volcano" is inane, boring disaster fare, and Tommy Lee Jones should be ashamed at having been a part of it. If he's not ashamed, I, as a fan, will be ashamed for him. Simply awful.
