Cute but average romantic comedy of mistaken identity. One brother is in a coma. The family mistakes Bullock for his fiancee while she is falling in love with the other brother. (Who thinks she is already "taken".) The script is VERY average. But Pullman shows his star quality and Bullock is her usual all American bubbly self. Waiting for the videotape to come out was a more than a sufficient strategy.

Since I'm such a sucker for a good romantic comedy, I really liked this movie. Bill Pullman was charming in a role he rarely plays and the chemistry between him and Sandra Bullock was perfect. And this kind of movie lives or dies on the chemistry between its leads. Worked for me.

I must say that this is one of my wife's favorite movies of all time, and I must admit that it's got some funny moments and some great lines now and then. Perhaps Sandra Bullock's most famous role, she saves an attractive man who falls on a Chicago El-Train track, only to have him hit his head and go into a coma. Concerned for the man, she must tell the hospital that she's his fiance to gain admittance to the hospital room. The man's family gets word of this, and many funny situations arise. Kind of cute, kind of funny. Good one to watch with a spouse or a date, as if there are people who havent seen it....
