Has to be one of my favorites, Adam Sandler is a riot in this movie. Some of my all-time favorite scenes in this movie was the scene when he goes on a cussing rampage while being on CBS and all you hear is you. I almost died from laughing, Another one is when he was working on putting at a miniature golf course and beats the hell out of some machine. Excellent movie.

The counter-culture Golf comedy. Caddyshack had its moments, and Caddyshack II had a laugh or two, but Happy Gilmore is my favorite for the subject matter. The ironically-named would-be pro hockey player Happy (Adam Sandler) must find a way to raise the money to pay the $270,000 that his grandmother owes in back taxes. He turns to golf and is soon a PGA sensation. Predictable and low-brow, but it's got some great lines. On the upper end of the Adam Sandler filmography.

An absolute classic comedy film.
Adam Sandler plays the part of Happy Gilmore with perfection. The constant onslaught of comedy in this film reminds me of the first time I watched Airplane.
This is definetly Adam Sandlers greatest moment in film making, apart from the divine Wedding Singer, which I love.
It is also a feel good movie (as with all Sandlers films) and it works well.
A film that comes highly recommended.

Yes, Adam Sandler's movies are stupid, but if you're looking for one that almost reaches the beautiful goal of being so-so, check out Happy. The pinnacle and crowning glory of Adam Sandler's movie career, so far.

This film and its inexplicable cult following can be summed up on one line: "the price is wrong, bitch!" Very few things about "Happy Gilmore" stick out once you get past Sandler's infamous brawl with Bob Barker. And yeah, it's hilarious, but really, what else makes it worthwhile?

I love Adam Sandler's movies, and this one is an excellent example of his down to earth and everyday yet somewhat overblown sense of humor. He's a funny guy, and the hockey player turned golfer role obviously was made to suit his comedic style. The fight with Bob Barker was great, as was the 'not quite there' arrogant jock buff Shooter McGavin vs. Gilmore competition. Like most of his movies, Adam had most of his friends play parts, which works fine because we recognize them all. (But I didn't know until recently that the homeless caddy was Mr. Covert, one of his gay friends in Big Daddy.) This movie wasn't made to make you think, it's just gut laughs and a good time, which it does reasonably well.
