Can you call this a newer version of When Harry Met Sally or what? Typical chick flick. It's just that I prefer Tom Hanks in his action roles.

Good little homage to An Affair to Remember. A recently-widowed father (Hanks)is prodded into a relationship after his son publicizes his condition on a late-night nationally-syndicated radio program. A woman (Ryan) on the other side of the country responds emotionally and literally to the program by believing that she's destined to be his next love, although they've never met. Funny, light-hearted, and romantic. Pretty good.

An archetypal and genial rom-com, feather-light but likable. Victor Garber is a scene-stealer of the highest order and deserves to be utilized as such more often.

Almost like a Rob Reiner classic - regardless Nora Ephron directs this film that makes it have the same quality. You can watch it over and over again.

This is my favorite comedy of all time (with the exception of When Harry met Sally). I have seen it at least seven times. And I never get tired of it. Anyone who loves "An Affair to Remember" will adore this movie. Hanks and Ryan are the comedy couple of the nineties.
