Whoopi Goldberg is great....gives the movie a much needed lift....Demi and Patrick are too lovie duvie (slightly over-the-top). Overall a good idea, well executed and brought to life by Goldberg.

Here's a rare thing. A WHOOPI movie that's not a zero. Total chick flick which I am almost embarrased to be rating this high. I better finish this comment before I change my mind.

Every time I think of this movie, my eyes start to water...not because of the story, but because of Demi's ever-flowing tears. I still enjoy this one a lot. The ghost idea is as old as film, but they put a fresh spin on a number of concepts. I especially liked the departure/entrance of the criminals into the netherworld.
