Kind of a time piece for me. Some of the dialogue is corny and the plot maybe a little ridiculus but I like some things about the movie and one is the music. This film has a great sound track and the movie is almost like one big music video.

It's a huge flick then and not so much now.
Great story line and dancing. However Baby and the dance instructor should be more explicit. Excellent ending for a flick. I give the script writers credit.

"Were these lines this cheesy back in the 80s too?" Featuring a great soundtrack and various lewd hip grinding action the movie turned out to be fairly amusing - even in our current jaded cynical times.

Swayze and Gray danced their way beautifully through this Borsht Belt love story. But it is not just another happy little musical. The plot deals with some serious issues between men and women. And the innocent teen character that Gray plays evolves into a woman.

This has to be the best movie I ever saw. The chemistry between Swayze and Grey was unbelievable. So was the dancing Patrick Swayze is a wonderful dramatic actor and this movie proves it. I highly recommend it to anyone.
