"Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," easily the worst and most disappointing installment in the phenomenally successful Indiana Jones trilogy, isn't entirely awful, but comes precariously close. It's not as fun, not as exciting, not as digestable as bookending films "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." And Kate Capshaw is easily Indy's most annoying love interest.

Fingers into your heart - ugh. Indie fights for the oppressed poor. Interesting storyline with some pretty dark sets. The creepy crawlies are guaranteed to make even the most rabid of insect lovers to squirm in their seats. Raid please.

As with most trilogies, the middle "episode" is the weakest. That doesn't make this a bad film by any means but it still doesnt' measure up to the first or the third. Kate Capshaw is a bit winey and I could have done without the kid, but still fun and it is Harrison after all. Who can argue with that.

Second entry in the series takes on a more serious tone and lacks something of the original and of The Last Crusade. While there is still plenty of action to keep you thrilled, it just doesn't quite measure up to the other two. I'm being picky though because it's still a very good action adventure film overall.

Unfortunately, Temple of Doom is my least favorite of the Indiana Jones trilogy, but on the other hand, that doesn't mean that it's bad. It's still pretty good-just not quite as charming. This time, Indiana must visit a forbidden eastern temple to retrieve sacred glowing stones (when glowing look strangely like those old glass conductors that they used to put on the top of telephone poles). Substitute the huge rolling boulder in Lost Ark for a wall of water, some great action on a bridge, and a fun little oriental kid named Short Stop. A worthy middle sibling in the series.

Short Round and Indiana Jones were entertianing and, well, it was not very good. Actually a real dissapointment. I can't think of to much good to say about it, aside from the fact it had a couple of great action sequences. It really has nothing to do with the other 2 films in the trilogy.

While this movie is by far the worst Indiana Jones movie (the other two got a 10.0 and a 9.0 from me) "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" is still a great deal more fun than most movies out there. Harrison Ford is great, as usual and the kid who plays Short Round is very good for a child actor. Kate Capshaw is the worst thing in the movie because of her constant shreiking and "Omigod!"ing. The movie takes place almost exclusively in India, which is not good because the other Indiana Jones films had the characters basically traveling the world, which was great fun. But I digress. This is a fun movie and it's definately worth seeing
